Teaching

There aren’t many things Sam loves more than sharing his love of music with others. Having spent summers teaching at PineCone’s bluegrass camps and years leading monthly youth jams in Raleigh, he’s contributed to a thriving scene of young players like The Loblollies, a talent-packed band he’s mentored through their early shows. He’s served as assistant to IBMA Kids on Bluegrass directors Deanie Richardson and Kimber Ludiker in both 2021 and 2023, as well as teaching several workshops on improvisation and songwriting.
