TEACHING

There aren’t many things Sam loves more than sharing his love of music with others. With experience teaching in both private and group settings, he is a certified instructor through Junior Appalachian Musicians and has taught at camps including Folk College, JamVember, and PACJam’s youth and adult summer camps. Serving as assistant to IBMA Kids on Bluegrass directors Deanie Richardson and Kimber Ludiker in both 2021 and 2023, he also spent several years teaching at PineCone’s bluegrass camps and hosting monthly jams for youth in Raleigh. From deep dives on improvisation to the specifics of songcraft, there’s no skill Sam is afraid to help you tackle.
